Unique Ways To Use Your Room Divider
Room dividers can be a great focal point in any room, but you don't have to use them only to divide up spaces. There are plenty of unique ways you can decorate with room dividers even if you don't want to use them to divide a room!
Headboard
Using room divider as a headboard is a great idea to make your bed a decorative focal point in your bedroom. In order to do this, you need to get a room divider that is roughly the same width as the bed. You will be using it folded up so you need to measure the width with it flat-out. To use it as a headboard, you simply slide it behind the head of the bed leaning against the wall. Voilą! Now you have a beautiful decorative headboard without having to do hardly any work.
Wall Art
Room dividers can make great wall art and are great to display in a space that is rather bland and needs a little added zip. when using the room divider this way, you don't fold and accordion style you spread it out flat and leaned against the wall. It can go either behind the sofa or pair of chairs but you probably have to anchor it somehow so that it doesn't fall flat away from the wall. This is a great decorative option for apartments and spaces where you're not allowed to change the wall coverings but you want something other than the bland white walls.
Breakfast Nook
If you have an eating area in the corner of your kitchen, you can use a room divider to enhance this little area and make a cozy and decorative breakfast nook. You can also do this in the living room for seating area or in the bedroom for a separate sitting area. in order to use the room divider this way, you'll actually be using it the opposite way that you normally would in a corner. Instead of putting it kitty cornered so that there is space behind the room divider, you put it flat against the wall with one of the folds in the corner so that the room divider actually is onto walls at a right angle. This causes it to wrap around the corner and give the new cozy feel.
Room dividers have many decorative uses and if you use your imagination can come up with a bunch of different ways to use these wonderful pieces of art for unique and interesting decor.
